Explanation:
In clearance concept, you will be moving one of our own pieces away from a spot. So, that another important piece can come to that spot to gain an advantage
Example Puzzle:

Here, in the above puzzle, White can play Bc2/Bd3/Bb1 or anywhere in diagonal, So, that white can deliver a checkmate by playing Rh7 in the next move.
Here, Bishop on h7 has moved away for the rook to reach h7 to deliver a checkmate
