Explanation:
Deflection is a form of luring where you make a piece move away from controlling an important square or defending an important piece.
Example Puzzle:

Here, in the above puzzle, White can play Ne8 forcing black Knight to capture the Knight and then white can play b7 followed by b8=Q to win the game
Ne8 Ne8 B7 wins

3. Bg3 Rg3 A8=Q wins or Bg3 Kd5 Bb8 wins by blocking the rook controlling the A8 sqaure
4. Nd4 Nd4 B8=Q wins or Nd4 Kd6 Nc6 Kc6 B8=Q wins (Nd4 deflects the knight from controlling the b8 square)
